FSBC: Talk they hear you - Toolkit for prevention

Forward South Bronx Coalition is working closely with the NYPD 41st Precinct to insure compliance checks on local business that sell alcohol are being conducted on a fairly regular basis. They are also issuing summons to under age youth who are caught drinking or smoking marijuana. This kind of collaborative effort with local law enforcement has proven to be extremely useful. We also have a close relationship with our local community board (Community Board-2) and the 41st Precinct Community Council.

We also conduct New York State Liquor Authority certified Alcohol Training Awareness Program (ATAP) to those establishments that sell alcoholic beverages and desire information on how to serve these beverages in a proper, lawful manner. We also offer a Naloxone (NARCAN) Training course to teach people how to recognize the signs of an opiod overdose and administer the opiod overdose reversal drug Naloxone. Additionally, our coalition takes a hands-on approach to the various initiatives and strategies that they help to devise.
